Our Patron - Sir Stirling Moss

We are delighted and honoured that Sir Stirling Moss is the patron of the Mini Mille Miglia. You couldn't choose a better man!
Stirling Moss and his co-driver Dennis Jenkinson won the Mille Miglia in 1955 in a Mercedes Benz 300SLR, car number 722. He won it in record time averaging 98 miles per hour over the 1,000 mile road course to become a legend in motor racing.
In 2008 Scalextric created a model of 722 with Moss and Jenks aboard. Several of these cars are entered in the Mini Mille Miglia for 2009.

Tracking the Build
This little box will keep you up-to-date on how things are progressing with getting the track ready for the MMM. The main part of the track is finished but the valley still needs some work. The viaduct is complete except for a little weathering to one section, and I've started adding the rock faces to the lower part of the village.
