The date of the 2010 MMM is 8th and 9th May 2010 with a visit to watch the full-size Mille Miglia as it drives through Assisi on the 7th. Full programme will follow later.

Sir Stirling Moss signs the painting by Steve Francis of Scalextric's model of his car on the Castello slot car circuit.

MMM Online Store Opens!
We have now created an online store on the MMM website where you can buy posters and window stickers and shortly we shall be adding polo shirts and baseball caps.
All profits to the Alzheimer's Research Trust. Please buy generously!

We welcome Sciri Elettroimpianti as a sponsor of the MMM. Sauro Sciri runs an electrical business in the area and we have used him many times for our clients. Their car will be a Porsche 997 GT3 for the public races, which is currently being prepared by Richard Bennett of Graymalkin.

The posters arrived from our friends at Somerton Printery in the UK today, and very nice they are too. We shall be distributing them around the area for shop windows and bars. We will also keep a few back so if anyone wants to buy a commemorative poster they are for sale at 5 euros each. Competitors get a free one including in their entry fee.

We are very grateful to Scalextric for donating this fabulous Lamborghini Diablo in Crystal Classics form as first prize in the Mini Mille Miglia.

So get your entries in to have a chance of winning this superb car!
They are also donating eleven Fiat 500s which will be prizes to the winning drivers in the public races. These races will be for six cars at a time (a fleet of Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo and Porsche 997), all sponsored by various companies (photos on the Sponsorship page). We're hoping the winners of the cars will then continue slot racing at Castello Slot Racing club in a special class for Fiat 500s and Minis.

Sir Stirling Moss has written to me today and kindly agreed to sign Steve's painting (see below). This will undoubtedly increase its value and raise still more money for Alzheimer's Research.
24th May
Steve Steve Francis completes the special painting of Stirling Moss and Denis Jenkinson in Mercedes 300SLR #722 coming down through the village on the Castello track. This will be auctioned on Ebay to raise more funds for the Alzheimer's Research Trust.

11th May
Scalextric become a sponsor with the donation of 12 cars as prizes for the public races and an exclusive clear bodied Lamborghini Diablo for the overall winner. They are also donating their pre-production Carabinieri Alfa Romeo 159 complete with siren and flashing lights as used in the press releases to add still more to the ambience of the event.

We're delighted to welcome Michael Gillespie on board. Michael was an official RAC Timekeeper for 10 years in the 70's officiating at all the international race meetings in the UK (F1, F2, F3, Sports Cars, CanAm, etc, etc.) - the good old days!
We've given him the title of Records Officer as he has a wealth of knowledge about the Mille Miglia. So he's the one if you have any questions.
Michael lives in France and is attending the event as one of the drivers.
19th March
Another car is sponsored for the public to race. This time it's SlotCarMann of the Isle of Man who are sponsoring a Ferrari F430 which will be liveried in yellow and red of the Manx flag.
17th March
The highly respected firm of architects, Conti-Rowland, are sponsoring a Ferrari for the public to race. This, along with a second, more highly-detailed model for their office shelf, will be liveried in the company colours by Richard Bennett, who is one of the top guys in this field. Richard is kindly donating his time free-of-charge so that as much sponsorship money as possible goes to our charity - The Alzheimer's Research Trust.
4th March
We are delighted to announce that i7 Technologies are sponsoring the official MMM camera car. This will be a Scalextric Range Rover fitted with a tiny wireless webcam which will relay a picture live to a monitor at the side of the track. Clips of video from the camera car will be used in the documentary film being made of the event.

Ron Baron has kindly offered to build a working start ramp for the event. This will have the name of our main sponsor on it.
8th Feb
Lin Lane has agreed to be the director of the documentary film that will be made about the Mini Mille Miglia. Lin has produced many plays and pantomimes in the UK and has won awards both for acting and for her script writing. She has also published two books and written many articles since coming to live in Italy.
5th Feb
We now have a fantastic logo for the MMM, designed by Jason Brown. I think it perfectly represents the feel of the event. Well done Jason! He is now designing the poster, a car window sticker, and various other things - all in his spare time in support of the event.

The venue is now confirmed as 'Oasi Verde' at Castello delle Forme. The track will be set up on Friday 3rd July. Filming and tour on Saturday 4th followed by barbecue around the swimming pool at Villa Rosa. Main event on Sunday with Rally, Pursuit, Time Trials and Concours, followed by Evening Dinner and Awards for drivers and invited guests in the restaurant at the venue. Finally break-down on Monday.

We found two exquisite models of buildings in an architect's office. Marco Tosti has kindly agreed to display them at the MMM as a centrepiece. To give you some idea of the detail, each individual roof tile is hand-made from terracotta and fired!

Motor sport artist Steve Francis has kindly offered to do a painting of Sir Stirling Moss's Mercedes 300SLR against a backdrop of the village on the track. We have asked Sir Stirling to sign it and it will be auctioned, probably on Ebay, to raise money for our chosen charity, the Alheimer's Research Trust. Nick Garton, a motor sport journalist, has very kindly offered a signed copy of his history of Ferrari's F1 revival under Todt, Schumacher, and Brawn - Cavallino Rampante. This will be auctioned in the same way.
