What cars are eligible for this event?
The current full-size Mille Miglia is for cars that took part in the actual Mille Miglia or are the same make and model. The same applies to the Mini Mille Miglia. There are also a selection of modern-day cars for the officials accompanying the competitors and we like to include a few of those too (see below).
Click here to visit the database of all the cars that took part in the Mille Miglia.
Eligible Slot Cars
Only 1:32 scale slot cars can be entered. They can be of a different colour to the original cars but this must be appropriate, not fluorescent orange for example! Vacunm-formed bodies are accepted provided they are of sufficient quality and standard. All competing cars must be working models although performance is not important.
No blatant advertising is allowed on the cars. If you wish to advertise your company then you can do this by sponsoring one of the fleet of cars that the public will be racing at certain times throughout the event. There is also the opportunity of advertising in other ways. Please see the sponsorship page orcontact us to discuss this.
Here is a list of eligible slot cars and their manufacturers. You can click the name of the manufacturer to visit their website, or the most appropriate website we could find.

Suppliers
Here is a comprehensive list of manufacturers, distributors, and retailers who supply slot cars or parts. You could also try Ebay to find a unique model or one that is now out of production.
Making your own car
There are also several of the vintage (1960s) Scalextric, Revell Monogram, and Stroembecker cars that could be used as a starting point for making a good looking car, and especially the Revell Monogram and Stroembecker cars with a brass chassis, which run nicely too.
You may also find static plastic kits that can be converted into slot cars, such as the Airfix Bugatti Type 35. Various companies produce bodies, chassis and wheels to do these conversions and you can buy motors, gears, axles and guide blades from many suppliers.
Ebay is also an excellent source of hard-to-get models.
There are several manufacturers of resin and glass fibre bodied cars, either as kits or as completely finished models, such as A2M, Annie Minnie, MMK, Ocar/World Classics, AA Bodies, and Slot Classics.
Penelope Pitlane, and BWA (Best Wheels Available) do an excellent range of parts to make your own car. Pendle Slot Racing also do an excellent running chassis designed for those wishing to convert a static model into a slot car, or make their own body.
As we find manufacturers of particular bodies that are eligible we'll post a link here:

Officials Cars and Support Vehicles
The current Mille Miglia includes some modern-day cars for officials such as McLaren Mercedes, a Caterham, some Ferraris, a Maserati Quattroporte, and a Range Rover filming the event, so we also want to include a few of those to add an extra bit of sparkle. All of these cars should be street versions, not racing cars covered in decals. Many of the above companies supply such models.
Various support vehicles also followed the tour, such as an ambulance, break-down truck, etc. If you wish to enter such a model, and it need not be a working model, please contact us to discuss this.
