Hi Graham, Yes the shutlines are raised on this car. The bodyshell is actually just over fifty years old now but it's in good shape. The bonnet strap is aluminium tape used for sealing heating ducts etc... It takes paint well if buffed. The little catches are just bent up wire. The tonneau cover is aluminium tape too and also the tape over the headlights.

This little box will keep you up-to-date on how things are progressing with getting the track ready for the MMM. The main part of the track is finished but the valley still needs some work. The viaduct is complete except for a little weathering to one section, and I've started adding the rock faces to the lower part of the village.
